Socks are the coolest things to knit.
I went a while without making socks, and now it’s all I want to do! I had to get a second skein to finish Damson no. 2 (not that my arm had to be twisted), and the yarn is a dream! I used Dragonfly Fibers Dijinni Sock in Sleepy Hollow, and switched over to That Old Chestnut when I ran out of yarn, which conveniently was right before I started the edging.

Nope, I didn’t check my gauge. That’s why I ran out of yarn. Don’t care.
I’ve been working on Monkey from Cookie A, which is kind of like a rite of passage. I didn’t understand it at first, but now I’m totally one of those people who LOVE knitting socks. I like knitting socks at a really tiny gauge, which creates a firm fabric that feels so snug. Last year around this time, I was raving about knitting socks on a 9” circ. I tried them recently, and couldn’t get control of the needles, so I’m knitting two at a time on a 47” circ. There’s something really satisfying about lassoing a pair of socks in a tangled needle. Or maybe I’m just crazy.
