Zoe Hilados

The delightful Argentine yarnery I found in Guatemala.

Beckoning storefront

Alpacas and wools and cottons!

Lampshade wrapped in yarn, dangled in felt balls. The yarn was sold by weight, and you can see the scale in the corner. Buying yarn by the gram was a frustrating, but intriguing, challenge. I had to compare everything to sock yarn quantities — sock yarns usually come in 100 gram hanks.

Zoe Hilados (Zoe Yarns) sources its wool in Argentina.

Great moodboard of crocheted flowers.

I could have gone broke in this store! And just so you know … yarn is not cheaper in Guatemala.

So this is what I did this morning to an old @coach shopper I found at the back of my closet. Kind of cute, right?
