Amigurumi Knits

Lately I’ve been appreciating patterns more than ever. I just bought Amigurumi Knits and am excited about using up my yarn scraps to make adorable creatures.

This is a great way for me to use everlasting sock yarn. I made two socks and a snail shell from a hank of SweetGeorgia Tough Love and I still have leftovers!

This is an amazing book — the author’s use of in/decreases and short rows is mind-bending, and even an expert knitter could learn some new things from it.

Meanwhile, I’m making a pattern for a knitted bat because my LYS needs them for the window display, and there’s a drawing for a gift certificate involved! (And I can finally use that icky, black Red Heart skein that someone gave me!)

So this is what I did this morning to an old @coach shopper I found at the back of my closet. Kind of cute, right?
